Biography:
Sukeah Rampersaud, a resident of Bronx, New York, died on April 24, 2024. She was 90 years old. Sukeha also known as Joyce not only raised but also inspired many generations. She was a person so formidable that she altered the course of life not only for herself but for her entire family, her entire bloodline. She was a soul so pure, so forgiving, so caring and loving -- that is what she will ultimately be remembered for. Born in Guyana, South America, she lived a full and vibrant life. There she and her surviving big sister Aunty Betty started their own sales business to support their other siblings. In 1984, at the age of fifty, Joyce migrated to the United States. Working as a Caregiver, she supported and sponsored her family assisting them in migrating to the United States. She was a widow to her late husband Budhram Rampersaud (Lalloon), a mother to eleven (11) children, a grandmother to twenty five (25) grandchildren, a great grandmother to thirty four (34) great grandchildren, and a great-great grandmother to four (4) great-great grandchildren. She is survived by her sister Aunty Betty and brother Uncle Sonalall "Spanks" and her sister-in-law Aunty Mena. We would like to extend warm greetings, deepest sympathy, and best wishes to our entire family. Please join us as we grieve her death but also celebrate her life and the time she was able to give us. Arrangements entrusted to FLOWER FUNERAL HOME INC., 714 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY with visitation Saturday 5 to 9 pm.
